Who are the PAs? We are second year MBA candidates, dedicated to making transition to the Columbia Business School environment easy and enjoyable!
75 members strong, the Peer Advisor team is selected through application and interview process and trained in leadership development, with a strong focus on team building. The Peer Advisor Team, part of the School's Program on Social Intelligence, has several purposes: to serve as a resource in transition to the program, to help you understand the School's culture and community, and to support future 2012 class through the teamwork aspects of the first-year core curriculum.
In addition to undergoing training, Peer Advisors volunteer part of their summer and winter vacations to design, organize, and implement the Orientation program. But, the Peer Advisors' role does not end when Orientation draws to a close. Throughout the academic year, Peer Advisors will work with the "new CBS students" throughout the year to help optimize first year experience.
How is it possible to build such a strong communisity of Peer Advisos?
The best way to start is a swimming-BBQ :-)
