Snow storm in New York

STEF's BLACKBERRY, yesterday ,10.00 am
"Dear Students,

Poor weather conditions are expected tomorrow. We do not anticipate the class schedule to be affected. The Business School follows Columbia University policy, where classes and exams continue as scheduled unless in the RARE exception that the University closes. The Columbia University main information line at 212-854-1754 provides a recorded announcement regarding any changes in the opening or closing status of the University, if the need arises. If a professor is unable to travel to attend class tomorrow, they will notify their class accordingly and schedule a makeup class.

If your commute is affected by the weather and your classes do meet, please arrange with your faculty or a classmate to receive notes and make up the material. We will not be providing videotaping services for classes tomorrow.

Please be safe and stay warm.
The Office of Student Affairs"

"To the Columbia Community:

As of 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 10, 2010, Columbia University will cancel all remaining classes and activities for the balance of this afternoon and evening unless otherwise communicated.

Essential personnel should still report to or remain at work. If you are unsure if you are an essential service provider, please consult your supervisor.

At present, the University intends to resume normal operations on Thursday, February 11. If the situation changes, we will update the Columbia homepage at www.columbia.edu and the CUMC homepage at www.cumc.columbia.edu.

And the party starts! :-)
